The architecture in the photo was a Pagoda which was built around the 7th century. At the time of visiting, it was just being repaired. The pagoda which achieved a height of 48 meters was wrapped with the scaffolding made with bamboos. And a small figure of a man was climbing the stairway while he was carrying a plastic container. He seemed to a laborer working at this site.
After several years since I visited, the site was registered as a World Heritage Site.
