When I came to the Church of San Pedro y San Pablo in Villa de Etla, members of a mariachi were playing in front of the entrance. A mariachi is one of the bands that I often see in Mexico.
It is not unusual for people to bring a mariachi with them when they worship at a church in Mexico. When I visit a church, I often see people coming with a mariachi. It's a bit cool to see them coming to pray with music.
Although the members of the mariachi were wearing the same uniform, the instruments they play varied. The man on the left in this photo played the trumpet, and the man on the right played the guitarron. The melody they played was lamentabile. And the people standing around the mariachi were listening to the music with sincere faces.
