In Kolkata, it is not uncommon to see a lot of workers hanging out on the side of the road. I don't know exactly how much they cost, but labor is very cheap around here. I guess that's why. Mechanization has not progressed much at all. People do all kinds of work, including loading and unloading cargo.
As I passed by a loading and unloading area in town, I saw a lot of workers hanging out here. Many of them were resting, as there seemed to be no trucks loaded with goods at the moment. The man in the T-shirt resting on top of the cart was one of them.
The man in the striped T-shirt smiled at me when he saw me holding my camera. If you look closely, you can see something written in English on his T-shirt. I could only see the first part, but it seemed to say "MORE MONEY....". I wondered what the rest of the sentence was about. It might have said, "If I had more money, I would quit my job". Well, that's not so much the man's thought as it is mine.
