Looking out the window of the inn where I was staying, I looked down the street and saw food stalls on the sidewalk. Since this was Kuala Lumpur's Chinatown, many of the stalls had signs written in Chinese as well as Malay. Malaysia is a multi-ethnic country, with about 24% of the population being overseas Chinese.
According to the sign, this stall sells soy milk, which in Chinese is called “Doujiang." Soy milk is a very common drink in Chinese culture and is often drunk warm for breakfast.
