The ancient city of Bhaktapur, a World Heritage site with its beautiful brick streets, is of course home to ordinary people. The building I was about to walk past seemed to be a house, and a young boy was standing at the entrance. When I stopped and pointed the camera at him, the boy looked back at the camera with his chin pulled back.
The boy was holding an empty plastic container in his hand. The container appeared to be from HALLS of candy. Since air pollution in the Kathmandu Valley seems to be getting worse every year, more and more people may be licking candy to protect their throats.
