Road On Which Torii Stood

Torii standing in residential area

A stone Torii stood at the end of the road in the residential area

Shot near Kibitsu Jinja in Okayama city, Okayama.

After I went through the long cloister, I came to the public road. Around the place was a residential area. The dwellings were close-packed. At first, I came out of the precinct. Yet I found a stone Shinto gateway stood at the end of the road.

So the area was once in the precinct and this way seemed to be still one of the approaches to the shrine. I saw a woman wearing a hat standing by the bicycle. I couldn't feel the atmosphere of the sanctuary by watching this scenery.
