The architecture in this photo was the tower castle tower of Okayama Castle. The black wooden tower stood kingly. This castle was also known as the Crow Castle because of its color.
This castle was built in the 14th century and destroyed by bombing during WWII unfortunately. In 1964, the tower in this photo was rebuilt with modern construction methods. Although the appearance was old fashioned, the structure was not old.
