The power poles were side by side of the street where I walked. It was often said that they spoiled the sight. Yet it might cost too much to install under the ground. The electric wires are still put all over the streets in Tokyo. Anyway, they are an important society's infrastructure. People can't live without electricity anymore in the modern age.
