Surrounded by terraced rice paddies, the village of Maligcong is made up of houses that stand shoulder to shoulder. As I strolled through the village, weaving between the houses, I met a group of boys. These boys were playing around in a corner of the village and were full of energy.
The boys were curious about the sudden appearance of a foreigner, and especially when they noticed my camera, their bodies became full of joy. It was fun to be photographed.
When I pointed the camera at them, the two boys struck a similar pose with their fingers in an L-shape. In the Philippines, I occasionally see people doing this pose. It seems to be very popular.
