I met many hawkers during I wandered the streets. Although I didn't know the reason, most of them were female. Maybe the man worked in the factories or the offices at the same time.
The peddler in the photo was also female. She wore a traditional conical hat. Watching her, another woman wearing a hat came to her and started to crouch beside her. They seemed to have a chat about life in general there. The woman never gave the slightest indication to buy something from the peddler.
