Welcoming Banner

Welcoming banner in lane to bahal

The banner was hung in the lane

Shot in the city of Kathmandu, Nepal.

There was a dark narrow passageway between old brick buildings. And a spired Buddhist stupa was seen at the end of the lane. There was a square on the other side and the stupa stood there. A banner was hung at the entrance of the passage and 'WELCOME TO YETAKHA BAHAL' was written on it.

Bahal means a type of courtyard in Newar communities. So the name of the square seemed to be 'YETAKHA'. Looking at the stupa again, it seemed to also be welcoming.
