On this day, I was visiting a Catholic church in Yotsuya. I am neither a Catholic nor a Christian. I am a Buddhist. I celebrate Christmas and visit shrines, but I am not a deeply religious Buddhist. Like most Japanese, I am indifferent to religion.
I decided to visit a church in Yotsuya because I had heard that the church building was beautiful. The roof design of the church I visited was indeed beautiful. Unfortunately, however, photography is prohibited. Without setting up my camera, I just soaked myself in the serenity of the spacious church.
According to WIKIPEDIA, the mass at this church is held in several languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, and, unusually, Vietnamese and Indonesian. It would be interesting for Catholic tourists to attend Mass when they visit Japan.
Leaving the church, I walked along the side of a nearby bank. The sky was clear and it was a nice day for a walk. Suddenly, I looked over the bank and saw an umbrella walking among the green leaves.
