Thanaka And Pendant

Boy wearing pendant

The boy wore a pendant and painted Thanaka on his face

Shot in the city of Yangon, Myanmar.

The boy I met in the streets painted Thanaka on his face like other locals. And Thanaka was painted in a random fashion. I wondered whether that was because of the cutting corners or the fashion. In the first place, I didn't have the mindset to paint Thanaka on my face.

The way of painting came in all colors, shapes and sizes. Anyway, he smiled cheerfully when I focused on him. He didn't know what I was wondering.
