I was walking along a road that stretched between old buildings in Shanghai. This area is called the Bund, where buildings built before World War II are still in use. It was probably a cutting-edge cityscape when it was built, but now that time has passed, it looks a bit old-fashioned. However, it creates a nice atmosphere.
As I was walking, a woman on a bicycle came running from the other side of the street, slipped past me, and left the valley of the old buildings with great speed. I looked up and saw several clotheslines sticking out of the buildings. Beyond the old buildings, I could faintly see the Oriental Pearl Tower. The cutting edge of Shanghai has already moved to the other side of the Huangpu River.
