There was a mechanic guy working in a mechanic's shop I found in Pune. When I pointed the camera at him, he showed me the spokes he was holding in his hand, as if he didn't think it would be fun to just take a picture.
I could see a number of tires behind him. It looked like this was a cycle-rickshaw repair shop that was running around the city. Since there were so many cycle rickshaws on the road, there must be a lot of demand for repairs.
The overall trend seems to be that there will be a shift in vehicles from human-powered cycle-rickshaws to petrol-powered bikes. Surely that must be faster and more efficient. But considering the environmental issues, I feel that human-powered cycle-rickshaws as they are now are more desirable. I wonder how it is. However, it may jump over the gasoline-powered one to the electric bike.
