There are many bus routes in Bangkok. Although the subway lines are gradually being extended, they are still not comparable to the bus lines. And best of all, bus fares are cheap. Buses are the best way to get around the city for sightseeing. However, the problem is that there are too many hurdles for tourists to overcome. It is difficult for a stranger who doesn't know much about the city to know which bus to take to get to the destination or which bus stop to get off at.
As I stopped on the side of the road to watch the traffic, a red bus came by. It was empty. All the windows were open and I could see some men sitting on the window seats. I could see that this bus had no air conditioning. However, as a traveler, I had no idea what route this bus was taking and where it was going.
