The Fort District of Galle, a city in the historic south of Sri Lanka, is a World Heritage Site. But it is peaceful. It may be that the number of visitors does not suddenly increase even though it was registered as a World Heritage Site. And the former fortress, which could not be turned into a tourist attraction, became a resting place for the locals.
At dusk, many locals come to this place to cool off. And some people take advantage of them to do business, and suddenly the Fort, which had been deserted in the daytime, comes alive. While I was walking around the fort, I saw a couple with umbrellas strolling over the fort. They looked very happy to be walking together. And they were clearly silhouetted against the Indian Ocean sky.
