Although the street was wide, it was deserted. Although this area was one of the busiest entertainment districts in Taipei city, few pedestrians walked the street. This district was originally laid outside of the west gate of the city. Yet it became a bustling area for Japanese people during Japanese rule. And it transformed into an amusement center for mainland Taiwanese after WWII.
During waking, I found a motorbike on which two persons rode turning back at the end of the street.
