As I walked through the peaceful residential area, I came to a construction site. Apparently, the construction workers were trying to build a bridge over a stream. The foundations of the bridge had been passed over the river and a young man was squatting beside it. He's dressed pretty rough, but he's a construction worker. When he noticed me holding my camera, the young man in sandals started to throw a deuce in front of his face. It was a peace sign with the back of his hand facing outward. It was a very youthful peace sign. Well, he's still young in fact.
Looking closer, not only the way he made the peace sign but also his appearance was young. The young man who was squatting down had his hips bare, and the edge of his pants was visible underneath his denim. Yes, the young man was wearing denim at the waist. He sagged his pants. The sagging is said to have originated from American prisoner's uniform, and it seems to have been established in Jakarta as well.
