The driver waited for customers while reading a newspaper
The man was a saiq-ka driver. Saiq-ka is a kind of pedicab which runs all over Myanmar. So I saw many drivers waiting for customers in the city center. The man in this photo was one of them. Unfortunately, he couldn't catch any customers. He was killing time while he was sitting on his vehicle.
In his hand, a newspaper was there. It was common to see many people reading books, magazines or newspapers by the roadside. Unlike other countries in Southeast Asia, the locals seemed to be print junkies.
