Many pedicabs called Saiq-ka were parked by the roadside in the city center. It was uncommon to see any taxis here. The pedicabs were everyday methods of transport for the locals. And a boy was playing on the seat of one of them.
He wore a baggy T-shirt and trousers. His shoulder was exposed. When he noticed me, he stopped moving. And he looked at me wonderingly. Of course, Thanaka was painted on his face.
