The railroad crossing was closed at the time, even though trains don't pass through that often. A lot of people were waiting for it to open. The overpass was visible just beyond the crossing, but many people didn't seem to use it. I guess they don't want to take the long way around. I can understand that feeling. The people who don't want to use the overpass are waiting on the ground for the crossing to open.
After a while, a long train with many cars connected to it passed by, and the crossing opened. A large number of people began to hurry across the tracks. The tracks were quickly filled with people and cycle rickshaws. There were almost no cars here. Mostly people on foot and cycle rickshaws. People who ride cars may use the overpass, even if it is a bit of a detour.
