Many plastic buckets were lined up in a row at the entrance of Baitul Mukarram which was the biggest mosque in Bangladesh. They were filled with water and prayers who came to this mosque were washing the limbs with water by the wayside.
It was necessary to clean before entering the precinct. As the result of washing, the ground was overflowed. Anyway, to wash the limbs before entering the holy place is true worldwide. There are also water places in Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples in Japan.
