While walking down Mejiro-Dori, I came across a small bookstore. It was not a chain store, but a small bookstore in town. It must be extremely difficult to run a bookstore in this day and age. With so many people shopping for magazines and books on the Internet these days, bookstores in towns are dying out. As a book lover, this makes me a little sad. That's why it makes me happy when I see small bookstores like this one doing their best in town, and it makes me want to support them.
In the bookstore's store, there was a selection of Weekly Bunshuns. All of them were old magazines. They were all priced at 50 yen. I wondered how long ago these magazines were released. I was curious, and as I approached the rack to pick up, I felt the titles of the magazines, lined up without any gaps, closing in on me.
