Walking down a large street, I saw a newsstand on the sidewalk. Various kinds of newspapers and magazines were sold. Not only local newspapers but also foreign newspapers and magazines seemed to be sold, and there were many newspapers and magazines lined up in front of the stand. Although it is rare to see people reading books while walking around Georgetown, it may be that the locals are actually fond of the printed word.
The owner of the store is reading a newspaper in the storefront. With so much to read, it would be hard to finish reading all day. I was envious that the newsstand owner seemed to be doing what he loved for a living.
