The man in the photo was an auto-rickshaw driver. This photo was taken near the bus terminal in Pune. Many drivers parked their auto-rickshaws on the roadside and waited for customers who had arrived in the city by bus. One of them was him and he spotted a foreign traveler and approached me. Unfortunately, I had no intention of getting on the auto-rickshaw. Instead, I decided to point my camera at him. The man with the mustache and red bindi between his eyebrows smiled at me, unfazed by my camera.

Auto-rickshaw drivers waiting for customers in this neighborhood often wear light green clothes like this man was wearing. Perhaps it is the uniform of the auto-rickshaw drivers.
