After sending a water-bus off, I started to walk along the canal called Saen Saep. There was a path along the canal. I heard that this canal was built on the order of King Rama III to transport soldiers and weapons. It might be a reason why this canal was wider than other canals. The dwellings stood along the path. Their back doors faced to the waterfront. And the locals were lazy and relax in spots.
The man in this photo was one of them. He was stripped to his waist and sat on the bench. A plastic glass was in his hand. He drunk beer in broad daylight. The glass was sweated. It seemed to be ice-cold. When I focused on him, he looked straight at me while he swallowed the beer. I could hear his throat make a sound.
