As I stopped in the middle of the approach and looked at the magnificent gate in front of me, kindergarten children appeared out of nowhere and began to cross in front of me. Wearing matching hats and uniforms, they happily walked away from me, holding hands.
Possibly the kindergarten these children attend is nearby, and they must be taking their daily walks on the grounds of the historic Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, which was founded in 947. It is a very luxurious experience. But these children are probably too young to understand.
