It was already late in the afternoon, so most of the stores in the market in Kandy were closed. Basically, markets should be visited in the early morning. Markets like Khlong Toei in Bangkok, which are still crowded in the afternoon, are the exception.
I walked down a deserted aisle. At the end of the aisle, I saw a few stores that were still open. A man was sitting in front of the store. And he was looking to his left. At the counter next to the man, I could see a balance hanging from the ceiling. Again, it was a balance that weighed the weight here.
