A young mother was sitting on the side of the road, nursing her baby. The mother was dressed in cute clothes with illustrations printed on them that looked like cartoon characters. Apparently, she was taking cooler pictures there. It was probably cooler being on the street than in the house without an air conditioner.
Both of them had Thanaka painted on their cheeks. The mother's was nicely painted, but the baby's looked like it was applied roughly. In any case, people in Myanmar are familiar with Thanaka from such a young age. It would not be an exaggeration to say that they grow up with Thanaka. Even though it is an exotic thing for me, it must be indispensable for this child.
