There were some halls with the exception of the main hall in the precinct. The hexagon hall in the photo was one of them. This was dedicated to Acala, a guardian deity in Buddhism. The statues of Acala and 8 children which were designated as nationally important cultural properties were enshrined in this hall.
By the way, the company name of Canon which is a major camera manufacturer is derived from Kannon.
