The gate in the photo was the entrance of Setagaya Kannon. Although I have been living near this temple for a long time, this was my first time to visit. The temple was not old. It was built in 1951. As compared with the temples in Kyoto, it was almost newborn. Watching the gate with knowledge of the fact, I couldn't feel the dignity from the gate.
By the way, a hall which pay tribute to kamikaze, suicide corps during WWII was stood in the precinct.
