The old town was built on the place between two rivers, Mekong and Nam Khan. There no bridges spanned over the Mekong river. Yet there were some bridges were spanned over the Nam Khan river. The bridges were temporal and made with bamboos. The small bridge in this photo was one of them.
During watching the bridge from the riverside, some girls appeared and started to go over the bamboo bridge. They wore a traditional skirt called Sinh. One of them looked back with her stern look on the bridge. They were on the way to the center of the town.
