A big pond is placed in the center of Kiyosumi Teien Garden. Many fishes are making their habitat there. And the predatory animals are also in the garden. The food chain is functioning in this garden.
Walking a path near the pond, I found an egret perching on the tree. It was uncommon to see the bird in Tokyo. I thought it was an evidence that this garden was richly endowed with nature. The egret stretched its neck and looked around. It seemed to think what it should eat next.
