A dog was crawling on the side of the road in Shanghai. It was gnawing on something, and I was curious to know what it was gnawing on, so I approached it, but it barked at me as I approached. It seemed to think that I was an evil person who was taking away its precious treasures. How rude. No matter how much money I have, I am not so down and out that I would take away something like a stick that the dog is gnawing on.
Even though I kept a little distance from the dog and continued to observe him, his attention never left the stick and never turned to my camera. It seems that the stick is just the right length and thickness to be an enchanting stick.
