A boy and his father were riding the same motorcycle on the side of the road in Aurangabad. They were riding together to go somewhere. They must be a father and son who are close enough to go out together. The caps they were wearing were the same kind. Both of them were wearing Islamic caps called Taqiyah. Judging from their appearance, this father and son were Muslims.
I didn't know this until I came to India, but although Hindus are the majority in this country, there are also many Muslims. According to statistics, about 13% of the population is Muslim. You may think it is only 13%, but India has a large population, so even if it is only 13%, the total number of Muslims is more than 100 million. India is the third most populous Muslim country after Indonesia and Pakistan.
When I pointed my camera at the father and son astride a motorcycle, the boy gave me a calm look while the father smiled awkwardly.
