When I entered into the precinct, I found a crowd of people. A showman was just performing and the people were watching. He was a monkey trainer. A monkey on leash was moving around him. When the showman gave an order, it followed hand and foot. It seemed to be tamed well.
This permanence had a long history and it was popular during the Edo period. Their radical duty was to give the invocation about stable because it was believed monkey had a power to protect horses from trouble.
