Family Of The Monkey In The Temple Of The Tooth

Family Of The Monkey In The Temple Of The Tooth (Sri Lanka)

About this photo

Shot at the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Many monkeys were living in the temple because Buddhism prohibited the killing of animals. So the precinct was a happy land for them. They didn't get treated like a doormat and were well-provisioned here. A baby monkey was held by its mother.
