The man stayed motionless
The man was sitting motionless by the roadside. Nevertheless, he seemed to be surprised at me when he noticed me. He kept looking straight at me without moving as if he forgot how to move. No talk between us. I couldn't feel the power of his eyes. Maybe he was exhausted so much.
Contrast to him, a woman behind him seemed to be in effervescent spirits because she was holding a big grocery bag. She seemed to shop in an energetic way.
