Pillars And Stilts

Stilted boys resting

The stilted boys were resting

Shot in the city of Zaachila, Mexico.

At the time of visiting, a festival was held in this small city. Yet I didn't know what kind of festival it was. After some kind of ceremony was conducted in the Zaachila church, the parade left the church. These boys were the attendants.

They paraded with other locals while they walked on stilts. During a recess, some of them were sitting and some of them were leaning against the pillars. I thought it was a hard task to walk on stilts.
