Like other big cities in Southeastern Asia, many overseas Chinese were also living in Yangon. I didn't know whether they had a power on both economics and politics in Myanmar. Yet they had a presence. I saw many overseas Chinese during walking around the city center.
Apparently, the man in the photo was one of them. He seemed to be a Muslim because he wore a Muslim cap called Taqiyah. If he lived in the Chinese mainland, he might be called Hui people. At any rate, he was a bashful man and refused eye contact when I focused on him.
