As I was walking through the town of Kuala Pilah, I met a man in a polo shirt. The man was talking about something in front of me with his hands outstretched as soon as we met. It's as if he's teaching me something. But I could not understand what he was saying. I wondered if he was speaking in Malaysian, or maybe he thought I was Chinese and was speaking in Chinese because the man looked Chinese in appearance.
Even though I was born in Japan, when I go abroad, I am often thought to be from another country. The most common reason is that people think I am Korean. My face seems to be Korean. On the other hand, the most surprising thing was that I was thought to be Spanish. I am East Asian, so where did they think I was Spanish?
