Many stalls were doing business still in the hard rain. Most of them sold food or drink there. The rain was coming down in sheets. Nevertheless, the street vendors didn't stop working in the dousing rain.

In that context, the man was holding a sugar cane and splitting without saying a word. Splitting many sugar canes, he could sell many juice when the lot of the customers started to come.
