The street where I walked was decorated with many red lanterns. Because the Chinese new year was coming, many lanterns were hung in the street. I thought it was not a local custom and brought by Chinese.
Many overseas Chinese were living in this country and they seemed to keep up a tradition. This country was a multiethnic country. Not only Malay but also Indian descendants and Chinese descendants lived together.
