The structure in this photo is the Church of the Visitation of Our Lady, the only Catholic church in Seremban. The state religion of this country is Islam, but of course, there are people of other religions, and there is also a Christian community. This church must have been built by the Catholic community.
There are many overseas Chinese people in this city as well. About 25% of the population seems to be overseas Chinese. The church may have been built by overseas Chinese who believe in Catholicism. The reason I thought so was that on the front of the church, under the statue of the Virgin Mary, the word "天主堂" was written in Chinese characters. In Japanese, the word "天主堂" seems to mean a Catholic church, but in Chinese, it simply means a Christian church.
