The town of Moulay Idriss is small, but its maze of alleys makes it difficult for strangers to navigate. When walking around, it is easy to lose track of where you are. At this time, I was wandering through such a maze of alleys.
As I was doing so, I came across the girl in the photo. She had her hair in a thick braid. When I asked her if I could take her picture, she agreed, which is unusual for Morocco, and looked down at me from a slightly higher vantage point. She looked down at me with a very kind gaze.
