Before entering into the courtyard in front of the prayer hall, the worshipers had to go through a big wooden gate. I stood in front of the gate and watched the people coming and going. They went in and out in a stream. Many worshipers came to pray here.
During watching, a woman came out from the wooden gate after finishing to pray at the hall of worship. The Meiji emperor and his empress were enshrined in this shrine. The emperor exudes an image of wearing a military uniform and a severe expression.
