The rice paddies were spreading along the Chico River. This town was surrounded by mountains, so there were a few level grounds to cultivate. The riverbank was made available for the rice paddies efficiently.
I stopped and overlooked the rice paddies from above. Then, I saw two figures standing on the edge of a rice paddy. They were about to plant rice. The agricultural work around here was not mechanized. They plated rice by humans.
