Figure At The End Of The Pedestrian Crossing

Figure on opposite side of street

I was waiting at stoplights

Shot in the city of Shimbashi, Tokyo.

I was waiting for a traffic light. The street in front of me was wide and many lines of the pedestrian crossing were drawn parallel. A few automobiles ran the street and I could cross the street without reference to the signal if I wanted. Yet I stopped submissively.

When I looked at the opposite side of the street, I found two figures walking. They went by each other and walked away as if nothing happened.
