As I was walking on the outskirts of Berhampore, I saw a cow on the side of the road. It was eating grass. In the Hindu world, cows are sacred animals. But this cow looked thin as if it was not being treated with much care.
Looking around, there was a large palm on the wall behind the cow. These illustrations of palms could be seen here and there in this city. A political message seemed to be contained in them. They might have been made to convey a message to the illiterate, but I didn't understand the message. However, even if I did, I didn't have the right to vote.
